Velvaere, a Wellness-Centric Mountainside Residential Community, is Coming to Park City, Utah – Robb Report

Park City is known for its incredible ski and luxury resorts, but a new housing development hopes to herald a new era of well-being and adventure in the area.

Velvaere is a mountainside wellness-centric community developed by Magleby Development near Park City’s legendary Deer Valley Resort. The 60-acre community will offer direct ski-in and ski-out access, year-round mountain adventures, an inclusive wellness center and a family adventure center. It is a residential community and local members’ club that offers unique holistic lifestyle opportunities including curated transformative wellness experiences, conscious living, pioneering technology and world-class amenities.

Completion is scheduled for 2024, there will be 115 individual residences with eco-friendly design elements. There will be 12 booths starting at around $4 million; 68 homes around $5 million; and 35 Custom Estates starting at around $12 million. There is a layout for every type of family or individual, from a cozy three bedroom to more than five bedrooms.

Since Park City’s main attraction is outdoors, Velvaere will have a 15,000-square-foot adventure center that will be the hub for skiing, hiking, and wilderness activities. It will also have a full-service restaurant, après ski beach, equipment room, outdoor pool and hot tub. Less than 200 feet from this center is a ski lift with ski-in ski-out access to a brand new ski area being developed by Extell Utah.

The 20,000 square foot wellness center offers a peaceful haven for the community.

There will even be wellness education classes and retreats, nutritional counseling and grocery services to hand-deliver locally grown produce to residents.

“Our vision is to create a community where health, well-being and a brighter future are at the forefront of every convenience, experience and place of residence,” said Chad Magleby, CEO of Magleby Development. “Our goal is to truly revolutionize what it means to be ‘well’ and inspire wellness-based communities of all kinds, not just in Utah but around the world.”

The wellness center will feature an outdoor pool, a jacuzzi and plenty of areas to relax.

To further its commitment to wellness, Velvaere is seeking WELL certification with the International WELL Building Institute, a verified assessment system focused on measuring, certifying and monitoring design and operational characteristics of a built environment. The aim is to improve air, water, light quality, nutrition, fitness, mood and sleep patterns. Velvaere will also showcase the innovative Delos system, a science-based solution for healthier interiors. Delos systems feature advanced air purification, water filtration, circadian lighting, and enhanced sleep solutions.

The wellness experiences are also brought into each residence which the buyers can customize according to their preferences. There will be options to include indoor light therapy, plunge pools, saunas, trunk rooms and more. The first apartments are scheduled for completion in early 2024.
