The festival returns this year with great news: the Luccaverse
On October 28, The Nemesis will welcome the first virtual and gamified version of Lucca Comics & Games to the metaverse, launching a longer-term project that will evolve in future editions of the event.
Lucca C&G is an international convention for comics, animation and games, the first fair of its kind in Europe and the second in the world. This year, the event will encompass new technological developments related to NFTs, blockchain, Web3, artificial intelligence and the metaverse.
The partnership with The Nemesis is one of the clearest signs of this wave of innovation: Luccaverse will be a tailor-made virtual world reproducing the decor and atmosphere of the festival but also a great opportunity to discover the novelties offered by the latest technologies to further improve the user experience.
The metaverse will be available and accessible from the desktop (simply via a URL link) and the mobile application and will allow users to explore for the first time the city of Lucca, its main streets and its monuments remodeled in virtual reality. Gamification will be another important part of this experience, as it will involve exploring the city’s famous landmarks, but will also include challenges and dynamic activities, such as timed speed races and quizzes to test the skills and user engagement (for example, custom skins created specifically for the festival, such as that of the iconic Lady Hope, symbol of this edition), as well as streaming content and live events.
