WALNUT CREEK, California, November 22, 2022 /CSRwire/ – This holiday season, Del Monte Foods, Inc. and the Alliance for a Healthier Generation are advancing their joint venture, “Schools that Nurturate Families,” to support the well-being of youth and communities in the US by providing virtual resources and content that promotes health and connections through mealtimes. The holiday-themed site offers family-friendly recipes that make nutritious meals accessible, affordable, and accessible with a fun spin on some holiday classics. Together, Del Monte Foods and The Healthy Generation are promoting the gift of joy in food this holiday season.

In September 2022, Del Monte Foods announced that it will commit $5 million over the next decade to nurture the physical, mental, and social-emotional well-being of youth and communities in the United States. ™ by making nutritious foods more accessible to everyone, we aim to grow a healthier and more hopeful tomorrow.

Together, Del Monte Foods and The Healthy Generation are committed to reaching 7.5 million students and their families by providing holistic nutrition education, resources and content to 10,000 schools. The partnership aims to improve health equity and redefine overall health and wellness in the United States by supporting direct family and direct schooling to increase access to food and nutrition.

The holiday campaign is the two organizations’ latest effort to redefine health and wellness. In addition to nourishing the body, mealtime meetings can improve children’s social skills, boost their confidence, and increase their feelings of happiness. Meals are also an opportunity to share and strengthen traditions, from family favorite foods to traditional meals and the way families come together.
