Quinn & Hary, a marketing and communications firm with an office in New London, has hired Dave Gellar as vice president of sales and marketing, and graphic designer Troy Hall. Gellar was one of the founding members of the firm when it began as Quinn & Gellar 20 years ago this month. He previously worked for El Día. Quinn & Hary is a subsidiary of Boston-based Regan Communications Group.

In celebration of National Veterans Small Business Week, the SBA Connecticut District Office in partnership with the Eastern CT Veterans Community Center will host a Veterans Small Business Fair, November 2, 9 a.m. to 1:30 pm The event will be held at the Eastern CT Veterans Community Center, 1010 Main St., Willimantic.

The New London Fire Department partnered with State Farm and the National Fire Protection Association to promote this year’s Fire Prevention Week™ campaign, “Fire Won’t Wait. Plan your escape” from October 9 to 15.
