Black Friday VR Headset Deals – FAQ
When will Black Friday VR headset deals start?
We can usually expect sales to take place on the last Friday of November, and this year’s discounts will be no different – Black Friday VR headset deals run on November 25.
Still, that’s not to say you won’t find decent savings beyond that 24-hour period. The discounts usually start a week or so before that date, and they usually continue for a little while after – they’re just labeled as Cyber Monday sales instead.

Black Friday VR headset deals – what to expect
Black Friday has always been the go-to sale for tech, so does that mean we can expect some great deals on Black Friday VR headsets this year? Well, sort of – it largely depends on what device you’re looking for.
Let’s start with the Oculus Quest 2, or the ‘Meta Quest 2’ as it’s now called. For the most part, it’s never discounted in the traditional sense (in fact, its price recently increased to $399.99/£399.99 from the previous cost of $299.99/£299.99). Instead, it usually offers bonus items like accessories or, as was the case in 2021, a $50/£50 Amazon gift card. We wouldn’t be surprised to see this latest bundle reappear for 2022’s Black Friday VR headset deals.
HTC headsets are another story. Take the superb but very dear HTC Vive Pro 2, for example. We’ve seen plenty of discounts on this premium kit over the past year, and in August 2022 it’s actually dropped to an all time low of $1,068. As such, a discount for Black Friday VR headset deals seems guaranteed. Hopefully it will match that all-time low or better with a triple-digit bid.
Quest headsets don’t tend to get discounts
Can we expect a discount on the recently announced Meta Quest Pro though? Almost certainly not. While we wouldn’t be surprised to see a modest set of some description (perhaps with a case), a real saving on the device itself seems out of the question. As we mentioned above, Quest headsets don’t tend to see any discounts and the Pro will only have a few weeks when the Black Friday VR headset deals arrive. As such, the chances of a price drop are incredibly slim. It’s a similar line with all the pre-orders for the PSVR 2, as they finally appear.
That means you’ll have to turn your attention to the HTC Vive line, Valve Index (which saw a couple hundred dollar drop in November 2021), or the new HP Reverb G2 if you want a premium VR experience for less.
