Several Republican lawmakers have expressed concern about the president’s mental state, with Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, telling Fox News Digital that “Joe Biden’s diminished capacity is so evident that even the White House press corps could not hide their concerns.” “
“That’s how you know it’s bad,” Cruz added.

Ronny Jackson, a Republican congressman from Texas who previously served as the president’s physician to both Presidents Barack Obama and Donald Trump, again urged Biden to undergo a “cognitive test.”
“In another pathetic display of incompetence, Joe Biden not only thought my late colleague was alive, but he also had his puppeteer, Karine Jean-Pierre, deny that he was confused,” Jackson said in a statement.
“It doesn’t take a neurologist to realize he’s in serious cognitive decline. The American people know what’s going on here and they don’t think the Supreme Commander is up to the task,” he continued.
“It’s time the White House staff and liberal media stopped shielding him from questions about his mental acuity and demanded that he heed my call for a cognitive test,” the Texas Republican added.

Rep. Greg Murphy, RN.C., a practicing surgeon and vice chairman of the GOP Doctors Caucus, told Fox News Digital that “the American people can see that Mr. Biden’s mental acuity is certainly being questioned.”

Rep. Greg Murphy, RN.C., a practicing surgeon and vice chairman of the GOP Doctors Caucus, told Fox News Digital that these “types of senseless blunders have become second nature to this President” and the White House for their “cover-up.” of the slip.
“The American people can see that Mr. Biden’s intellectual acuity will certainly be challenged,” the North Carolina Republican said. “However, what worries me even more is the manner in which this White House continues to deceive and mislead the American people on a daily basis.”
“It seems like the White House is doing nothing to cover up a failed president and administration,” Murphy added. “The American people clearly deserve better.”
Indiana Republican Party leader Kyle Hupfer released a statement Wednesday after Biden’s blip, saying she was “questioning too much.”
“No amount of spin from the White House can justify President Joe Biden forgetting the tragic death of Jackie Walorski — the latest faux pas that calls so much into question,” Hupfer said.
“The American people deserve a straight answer, not a political topic of conversation, how the President of the United States could forget that a congresswoman he was supposedly trying to honor passed away just last month,” he continued.
“The statement by White House Speaker Karine Jean-Pierre is a disrespectful lie to Jackie’s constituents and the American people,” Hupfer added. “We deserve a real answer.”
Asked for comment, Assistant White House Press Secretary Andrew Bates told Fox News Digital, “President Biden has made a record job creation, the biggest infrastructure investment in 70 years, enabling Medicare to negotiate prescription drug costs, the most far-reaching Weapon signs reform since 1994, made NATO stronger than ever, and has taken unprecedented action to fight climate change and pull manufacturing back from abroad.
The president had mourned the late Walorski a month before Wednesday’s blip and called on the White House to defend itself and clean up another comment.

“The president speaks directly and frankly — right off the shoulder, as he often says,” White House spokesman Robyn Patterson told Fox News Digital in a statement, when asked about the president’s long track record, promising things say, which his staff later corrected.
“This has been critical to his success in everything from mobilizing the world in support of Ukraine to empowering Medicare to negotiate lower drug prices,” Patterson added. “And when he feels the need to add context to something he’s said or direct his staff to do — as every president has done — he doesn’t hesitate to do so.”
The White House comments came after Jean-Pierre struggled to explain his latest slip. Following the bizarre episode, Jean-Pierre said Biden “named the congressional champions on the subject and recognized their incredible work.”
“He had already planned to welcome the congressmen’s family to the White House on Friday, and there will be a law signing in their honor next Friday,” Jean-Pierre said. “So of course she was on his mind. She was up for the President.”
Jean-Pierre doubled down on cleaning up Biden’s fumble through the White House amid pressure from reporters.

Biden’s mental state was also poked fun at by his son, Hunter, in a text exchange with his therapist from his infamous laptop.
A few months before Joe Biden launched his presidential campaign, Hunter Biden exchanged text messages with Keith Ablow, his therapist and friend, in early January 2019. The book highlighted Ablow and Hunter discussing Democratic presidential nominations when Ablow said, “Your father is the answer,” and later mockingly quoted himself as saying, “Any man who can triumph over dementia is a giant.
“You’re such a jerk, but that made me laugh out loud,” Hunter Biden replied.
Ablow quoted himself as saying “Perhaps he can help us remember all we wanted to be as a people now that he can remember his address”, prompting Hunter to say that his father ” that doesn’t have to [know] where he lives”, because “that’s the only thing the secret service gets[s] correct at least 75% of the time.”
